Welcome to my blog! My name is Toe. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Anthropology at the Pennsylvania State University. My research interest is in Evolutionary and Cross-cultural Psychology.
An article called The Asian Future of Evolutionary Psychology by Miller (2006) projected that by 2050, most of the world’s psychology research would be done by Asians in Asia, and it is very likely that evolutionary psychology would die out if Evolutionary Psychologists fail to promote evolutionary psychology ideas in Asia.
Here is where I come in. I am a student born in Myanmar (formerly Burma). As Miller (2006) said in his study, Myanmar has very weak behavioral sciences and almost no exposure to evolutionary psychology. In light of these noble missions, I sincerely hope the articles on my blog here communicate some of the key findings and research by evolutionary psychologists to public and especially my friends in Myanmar on social media in a coherent and readable way. The blog covers personal stories and writings ranging from daily observations to news and research. Disclaimer: the writing is not peer-reviewed and the view expressed here reflects my own. Feel free to comment, educate, and challenge my stupidity if you have any concerns (:
I plan to follow a teaching and research career in the U.S. Enjoy the blog and contact me if you have any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
